The hotel Vietoris is named after the founder of the spa Jozef Vietoris and offers comfortable accommodation in 30 rooms. The hotel has also restaurand and Lobby bar with summer terrace. The first spa building in Smrdaky was built in 1832-33 by Jozef Vietoris, the owner of land near the springs. In 1839, Nitra’s deputy city mayor Vietoris had the impressive grand manor house constructed for his family. After several reconstructions, it is still functioning today. With its classical portal, the manor house became the symbol of spas. The two-star health spa hotel named after Vietoris is located in western Slovakia and became famous for its sulphuric medicinal springs in the 16th century. Smrdáky is one of the most effective spa resorts for treating skin diseases and muscle disorders in the world. It is famous for its unique, all-natural mineral water rich in hydrogen sulphide, and for its curative sulphuric mud.
